Prasad Shelke

PhD Student, VUW

Research Interests

  • Ocean-Atmosphere interaction
  • Regional and Global Climate Modeling
  • Earth System Modeling
  • Climate Dynamics

Education

  • Master of Technology (Atmospheric Sciences), 2019

Department of Atmospheric and Space Sciences, SPPU, India

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering), 2016

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), India

Prasad is a climate enthusiast interested in better understanding ocean-atmosphere interaction processes. He is a former Marie-Curie Fellow and worked on the goal of the Minamata Convention of the United Nations in which he contributed towards design and development of a Regional Mercury Model to estimate transport of mercury pollutant for better representation of ocean-atmosphere exchange of mercury. His research interests are inclined towards better representation of ocean-atmosphere dynamics in regional and global climate models under climate change scenarios.
